What could be more fun than popping bubble wrap? Probably nothing, but this craft comes in a close second (in our opinion 🤣). We used bubble wrap to print the ”kernels” on our little corn buddies. Your kiddos are sure to have a blast with this one!

Materials

  • White & green paper
  • Bubble wrap
  • Paint
  • Crayon or marker
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Googly eyes

Directions

1. Draw outlines of corn a piece of white paper.

2. Cut up the bubble wrap into small rectangles.

3. Use a paintbrush to cover sections of the bubble wrap. Make sure to not put too much point, but just enough to cover the bubbles. You can just use yellow paint or, you can mix it up (like my kiddo) and use any colors you’d like!

4. Take the bubble wrap and place it on top of a corn outline, paint-side down.

5. Gently press the bubble wrap onto the white paper. If you press too hard, the “kernels” won’t be very defined.

6. Carefully peel back the bubble wrap to reveal the kernels! Continue this process until the space inside the outline is covered.

7. After the corn prints have dried, cut them out.

8. Cut out long leaves out of green paper.

9. Glue 2 leaves on the bottom of a corn print. Fold the free ends down.

10. Add google eyes and silly faces to your corn.

11. Enjoy your corn buddies! (Just don’t eat them! 😆)

You better believe that we hung these silly guys up for all to see!

I hope that you and your kiddos are having a fantastic fall so far!
